Now it's cancer... grumble... sort of
« on: September 14, 2014, 12:16:47 PM »
I recently was diagnosed with bone cancer on my back, left 7th rib. Luckily, it seems, they caught this in the nick of time. Tomorrow I'm going to discuss treatment with the radiologist. Then it's on to chemo and likely surgery. :-\

The worst part of this, is that should they not get this in time I could wind up paralyzed. Yuck!

I'm trying to keep my usual jovial attitude during this. The morphine sulphate does help that along a bit.

Just in case the worst should happen, I want you guys to know I've always enjoyed CM and consider you all to be some of my better cyber-friends.  :(

...and here I just remembered how to attach images... ::)

I am sorry to hear this. I hope it has been caught in time and that you do not suffer. My platelet count is high so they did a bone marrow test. The pain was terrible, even though they found nothing.

The best of luck to you.

Thanks. I know others here have encountered experiences with the big C. It's always  good to find a bit of support here and there. My other half has been great in support during this.

Part of growing old, I guess... ::)

I'm hoping to issue a new maintenance release to the IWBasic 3.x IDE in the next few weeks and Larry Sikes has released an update to the Linux version of IWBasic and is currently working on the 64bit version of IWBasic.  Progress should speed up since he has retired and has apparently resolved his m
